Shipping day is Tuesday of each week.

Shipping Rates are as follows:

Shipping within the Maritimes = $15

Shipping to the rest of Canada outside Maritimes = $18

Shipping to United States = $25 (*Details below*)

Shipping overseas = $30

Shipping to Canada and USA is included on purchases over $200

 Updated January 2026 to my best understanding of the situation.

All shipments into the US are subject to a 30-40% tarriff plus customs brokerage processing fees.  Unless they are CUSMA/USMCA compliant which removes the tarrifs. 

CUSMA = Canada US Mexico Agreement. USMCA = United States Mexico Canada Agreement. This was formerly known as NAFTA (North Amercan Free Trade Agreement).  It was renamed CUSMA/USMCA in 2020 and will undergo a planned review in 2026.

A CUSMA-compliant product is one that has been produced sufficiently within North America (Canada, U.S., Mexico) to qualify for tariff-free trade under the agreement, reducing or eliminating tariffs. Brokerage/processing fees may still apply.  All of Topsail Canvas products meet this requirement, and I have filled in a form with the information to show origin of materials and production.  This Certificate of Origin must accompany the product when shipped across the border, so you will find it inside your package.  This is for the shipping importer company to use to claim duty/tarriff free at customs.  I am using Chit Chats as my importer, and they charge a small fee for this service, plus I must get my packages to a Chit Chats facility in Canada which is an extra shipping step.  So my shipping rate to the US is $25 and you should not be charged anything extra upon receipt.  If you do, please let me know.

For simplicity, Topsail Canvas always charges a flat rate shipping, rather than a varying amount based on your parcel size. In reality, this means that we split the shipping: the flat rate fee covers most of it and I cover the remainder.  If you purchase over $200 of products, then I will cover all of the shipping costs.
